Alley of the Elements, a collective artistic intervention that is in the Recoleta Cultural Center.
Without a doubt, this patio will captivate your attention. The Recoleta Cultural Center is located near the Recoleta Cemetery (more information here), so you can plan a day in this neighborhood and admire the intervened walls inside the Recoleta.
To know everything you can do in the Recoleta neighborhood, here we leave you a note!
Now, inside the famous Recoleta Cultural Center, is the Patio del Aljibe. It was collectively intervened by various artists, including: Hernán Borda (CABE), Luciano Gatti (ICE) and Mauro Gauto (SWAM). They are urban artists, masters of graffiti, with trajectories of more than 20 years. In turn, they included three fellow friends: Ladyb, Membs and Mako.
In addition, a huge feminist mural entitled “Love Fight Live (Amar Luchar Vivir)” was carried out by Onaire Colectivo Gráfico with the participation of more than 100 women artists such as Laura Azcurra, Laura Bua, Irana Douer, Power Paola, Taty Santa Ana, Among others, all referents and collaborators of the Collective Creation Workshop that took place at the Recoleta Cultural Center in January 2020, exposed by Onaire. Here we leave you the link to their website so you can see their work.
What was tried to achieve in this space is the sample of different disciplines that are part of the culture, as well as setting the Patio Aljibe with a variety of colors and a street scene, where the fundamental part of that landscape is graffiti, popular urban trend.
The entrance to the patio is free, but with limited capacity. Visiting hours are from 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. from Tuesday to Friday, and from 10:15 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
