MITRE TRAIN

BY CAR

Of course it is also possible to get to Tigre by car. To travel to Tigre from the city there are 2 options: one is to take the Panamericana and take the Tigre branch to the end, and the other option is to go straight along Avenida Libertador and enter through Calle Italia.       I personally prefer Colonia. Colonia is a colonial town World Heritage Site of the Unesco. Both are good but if I had to choose I would go for Colonia. It is more expensive though as you have to pay for the ferry and to Tigre you have a very cheap train. Also for Colonia you need to do migration as you are going to another country. Hope that helps!
