How to use the SUBE

Once you’ve acquired the SUBE and loaded credit onto it, you can board public transport and pay with the card. On buses, you usually tell the driver your destination, while on trains and subways, there are turnstiles at the stations. A note about trains is that you need to tap the card on the turnstile both when entering and exiting the station, so you are charged only for the distance traveled and not for the entire route.

sube digitalSince September 2024, the new SUBE Digital has been available in the City of Buenos Aires. Now, you can pay with your phone as long as your device runs Android 8 or higher and has an NFC chip. Currently, iOS systems do not support this technology.

You will need to download the SUBE Digital app, load credit with a payment method, and you’re all set.

The transport system is expanding, and it’s now possible to use SUBE in other cities across the country, such as Mendoza, Rosario, Bariloche, San Martín de los Andes, Puerto Madryn, Ushuaia, and Esquel, among others.
