During the summer you can enjoy Buenos Aires Beach, an open-air coastal space to enjoy the freshness of the river and the activities that are organized daily.

The use of the beaches and the facilities are free and open. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday and Holidays from 10 am to 8 pm.

Where is?
Buenos Aires Beach is located in the facilities of Parque de los Niños, in the Nuñez neighborhood.
To get to Buenos Aires beach, you can take the Mitre train from Retiro to Tigre and get off at Rivadavia station. From there you have to walk a few blocks to the place.
There are also some buses that arrive from different parts of the city such as 130, 15 and 29. For all lines it is necessary to get off at Av. Libertador at the General Paz Bridge and walk there.
A little history
Buenos Aires is a coastal city, founded on the banks of the Río de la Plata. In the 19th century, citizens used to enjoy the riverside as there were spas to bathe and refresh.
Years passed and Buenos Aires began to turn its back on the river. Pollution increased and people’s interest dropped. Fortunately, a few years ago, works began to be carried out so that the river can once again be the protagonist and so that citizens can enjoy the great Río de la Plata.
